HEAD COACH MARLIE RIOJAS

Hi Piranhas! My name is Marlie Riojas and I am so excited to be returning as your head coach this year. The Piranhas have been a part of my summers for the last 20 years starting as a swimmer then moving into coaching. I was a swimmer for Churchill high school and also swam for streamline aquatics club team. I am an assistant coach for the Great Hearts Monte Vista high school swim team. When not coaching swimming I work for an organization called Younglife where I get to work with middle schoolers primarily at Bradley Middle school. Along with being a part of the swim team I also grew up in the Hidden Forest community. I love the community and camaraderie that come with summer league swimming specifically in Hidden Forest. Some of my favorite memories are from swimming in meets with friends and just having fun bonding with my teammates. Coaching over the years has also given me some of the best memories. It is so rewarding getting to coach and see the amount of growth that can happen in just over 2 months of swim team. I can’t wait to see the awesome things we do as a team this season and what fun memories we make! Go Piranhas!
